Free Character Designs and Game Art
How To Use My Free Character Designs For Platformer Games
Free Download Character Sprite Sheets and Extract the Files
1. Download the free character design and vector art from the website(Note all the characters are free to use even commercially) you can add some gift amount if you like before downloading the free assets. Nonetheless, all of the game assets and game art are free for personal or commercial use without any copyrights.
2. After Downloading the game characters import the game assets to your game engine(Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot) all the files containing the cartoon character game art are completely rigged character designs with Png sequence animations with their respective sprite sheets.
Cartoon Character and Sprite Sheets in Animator Panel
3. After importing the cartoon character's animations into the scene of the game engine you can easily tweak the settings and speed of the animations, vector art, graphics illustrations, and sprite sheets through the Animator controller or the Animation Panels respectively. Usually, these panels or sections are at the top of the scene and right to the hierarchy of the game assets.
Basic Animations in Unity for Character Sprites
4. All the animations in a png sequence are designed to be collectively controlled through programming languages such as C# or Java in most cases. I would recommend gaining some knowledge regarding the basic setup and coding of the character before working on the video games project as it sometimes can become extremely tedious and time-consuming if you have no idea about coding, basic animations in Unity basic tree setup, 3d modeling baking, and rendering, etc.

if you find the position of the animations to be misplaced you can always set the positions through "custom pivot" mainly located on the right side of the scene if you are using Unity for your game development. Or you could manually adjust the positions, rotations, and transformations of the animations from the top right side in the Game Engine(Unity in my case)
